Glendale Glitters Returns To Downtown Glendale

Annual light shows and festivities mark the return of a cherished Glendale tradition
The City of Glendale is thrilled to announce the return of its most beloved holiday tradition, Glendale Glitters, lighting up Downtown Glendale once again with festive cheer, sparkling displays, and joyful community spirit.
The kickoff event will take place November 28 and 29, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night. This two-day celebration will feature an arrangement of lights, complemented by interactive displays and picture-perfect holiday scenes that are sure to delight visitors of all ages. Guests can shop in the local shops, enjoy delicious seasonal treats, listen to the sweet sounds of carolers, and even meet Santa Claus himself.
The official lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, November 28, at 5:45 p.m., and will be held in front of the Glendale Civic Center. The city comes aglow with millions of twinkling lights for the 2025 holiday season.
There will be over 20 unique vendors in attendance, offering a wide variety of treats, crafts, and local favorites. Enjoy delicious desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes, holiday and variety-themed facepainting from Visualize Creativity, grab a tasty bite from KTT Concessions, and savor flavorful dishes from Island Noodles. With so many options to explore, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Visitors can extend the celebration on Small Business Saturday on November 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to support local shops, discover unique holiday gifts, and enjoy special promotions throughout Downtown Glendale.
After the kickoff weekend, the Holiday Light Display will continue nightly through December 31, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., giving visitors plenty of opportunities to experience the magic. Stroll through the charming streets of Downtown Glendale, explore unique shops, and indulge in festive treats while taking in the dazzling lights and joyful atmosphere.
In addition to the ongoing lights, Santa Claus will be at Santa’s Village every Friday and Saturday, beginning December 5 through December 20. Starting at 6 p.m. families can visit Santa at 5836 W Palmaire Ave, with photos available for $5.
“It truly is the most wonderful time of the year,” said Glendale Mayor Jerry P. Weiers. “Glendale Glitters has become synonymous with the Christmas season across the Valley. I urge everyone and their families to come down and take in the holiday festivities in our downtown.”
